Fashioning and Re-Fashioning: Mormon Women in the Blogosphere

Fashioning and Re-Fashioning“Fashioning and Re-fashioning: Mormon Women in the Blogosphere” is a research project that I pursued as an undergraduate, exploring the digital identities of Mormon women. I have reviewed the content of over 30 blogs written by women in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, analyzing them within both rhetorical and feminist frameworks.

The Powerpoint at left is from the first iteration of this project, where I examined three different types of blogs: personal blogs, fashion blogs, and “Mormon mommy blogs.” A paper presented at Computers and Writing 2014, which focuses on the rhetoric of modest Mormon fashion blogs, is available here.
