My master’s thesis focuses on the content of both feminist and mainstream internet pornography, but I presented at SIGDOC ’14 (the annual meeting of the ACM’s special interest group on the design of communication) about the interfaces and delivery systems that enable users to select and view porn videos. The resulting poster, “Porn Architecture,” explains the different tagging and sorting systems employed by two porn boards on reddit, ultimately emphasizing the importance of erotic and affective considerations in user research.
This poster and its accompanying brief were selected for publication in Communication Design Quarterly 3(1) in December 2014.
